New York, NY (January 8, 2026) – Benson Drive Productions (George Strus, CEO) announced today the complete cast for BIGFOOT!, the new musical comedy by Amber Ruffin, David A. Schmoll, and Kevin Sciretta. Now in rehearsals, additional casting includes Grammy Award-nominee Jason Tam as ‘Doctor’, Jade Jones as ‘As Cast’, and covers Jake Letts, Kala Ross, and Mike Millan. They will be joining the previously announced Tony Award-nominee Grey Henson (Mean Girls, Elf) as ‘Bigfoot,’ Tony Award-nominee Crystal Lucas-Perry (Ain’t No Mo’) as ‘Francine,’ Katerina McCrimmon (Funny Girl) as ‘Joanne,’ and Alex Moffat (The Cottage) as ‘Mayor.’

Directed and choreographed by Danny Mefford, this 8-weeks-only engagement is produced by Benson Drive Productions (George Strus, CEO) in association with Manhattan Theatre Club (Nicki Hunter, Artistic Director and Chris Jennings, Executive Director) and will begin performances on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 ahead of an official opening night on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Set in the town of Muddirt, a glow-in-the-dark oasis that exists somewhere between a chemical dump site and a nuclear power plant, BIGFOOT! is a larger-than-life musical tale of corrupt politicians, small town paranoia, and misunderstood youth. When that youth happens to be eight feet tall, innocent, and in dire need of electrolysis, it makes him more than a target. It makes him the subject of a can’t miss can’t-myth musical comedy.

Featuring lyrics by Tony and Emmy Award nominee Amber Ruffin, a book by Ruffin and Kevin Sciretta (MST3K), music by David Schmoll (The Second City) and direction and choreography by Danny Meffford (Kimberly Akimbo, Dear Evan Hansen), BIGFOOT! is musical comedy’s next BIG thing!

The creative team for BIGFOOT! Includes Meg Zervoulis (Music Supervision), Alejandro Senior (Music Direction), Tim Mackabee (Scenic Design), Mextly Couzin (Lighting Design), Ricky Reynoso (Costume Design), Sun Hee Kil (Sound Design), and J. Jared Janas & Cassie Williams (Hair, Wig & Makeup Design). Casting is by Jason Thinger, CSA. Hillel Friedman (Evan Bernardin Productions) will serve as general manager and Mario-Mars Wolfe will serve as production stage manager.

JADE JONES (they/them) (As Cast) is a multifaceted performer dedicated to storytelling that challenges norms and centers joy. They were most recently seen in the world premiere of We Are Gathered Oscar winner Tarell Alvin McCraney and are widely recognized for their celebrated portrayal of Belle in Olney Theatre Center’s internationally acclaimed Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Jade made their New York debut as Mary in the Off-Broadway revival of Vanities and recently took the stage as Madame Thénardier in Les Misérables at The MUNY, the nation’s oldest and largest outdoor theater. They’ve appeared on ABC’s 20/20 for the 25th anniversary Cinderella reunion special alongside Billy Porter and Todrick Hall, and their work has been featured in Playbill, MSNBC, and People Magazine.

KALA ROSS (Francine/Joanne Cover) is thrilled to make her New York City Center debut! Broadway credits include For Colored Girls. A Georgia native, she holds an M.F.A. from the University of Louisville and a B.S. from Tennessee State University. Kala is the creator of the award-winning pilot “Welcome to New York”. She extends heartfelt thanks to Dave Secor of Daniel Hoff Agency, the creative team, her castmates, and her family.
