Lynda Carter

Lynda Carter, who rose to fame as TV's iconic “Wonder Woman,” started her
career as a singer in her native Arizona at the age of 14. She went on to tour
the country from Vegas to the Catskills and even hosted her own CBS
Variety Specials. Her new show “From The Heart”, featuring her All-Star
Band including Blue Lou Marini, Paul Liem and Luis Conte has received
rave reviews in performances in Los Angeles and the Kennedy Center in
DC. She jumped “On The Couch” in between rehearsals for her upcoming
New York shows at The Allen Room, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center on April
26th and 27th.

What do you consider to be your best asset?
Experience.

What was your proudest moment?
The birth of my son and my daughter..the look of wonder on my husband's face.

What is your favorite drink?
Mineral water and cranberry juice–straight up, no ice!

What is your favorite food?
Mexican food from Arizona.

What is your favorite condiment?
Texas Champagne hot sauce by D.L. Jardines.

What is your current obsession?
Listening to audio books. I have listened to hundreds of books – Science Fiction; Mysteries; History; Bios. I usually have an iBook going at all times as well as iPad magazines and newspapers.

If you could give up one of your vices, what would it be?
Listening to too many books!

What is the one professional accomplishment you long for most?
That's easy – a Grammy.

What is the one thing you waste too much money on?
My husband would say – shoes and clothes. I would say I spend too much on other people.

What is the one activity you waste too much time doing?
Trying to help solve other people's problems.

What do you consider to be the single greatest threat to your health?
Not getting enough sleep.

What is the single best trait you inherited or learned from your parents?
Being curious about…everything.

What is the single worst trait you inherited or learned from your parents?
Being stubborn.

What in the world most thrills you?
Watching my children grow into two astounding individuals that I feel privileged to know.

What current trend in popular culture most irritates you?
Reality television.

What was the single most embarrassing moment you've ever experienced on the job?
While doing a series with Loni Anderson, she set me up for the show 'Practical Jokes and Bloopers'. She pulled a practical joke on me that I TOTALLY fell for. It was brilliant.

What is your favorite place in the world?
At home with my family and friends.

What is the most important trait you seek in a romantic partner?
Honesty. My husband is the most ethical, honest person that I have ever met. Sexy, too.

Do you prefer the company of dogs or cats?
Dogs. I really don't get cats.

What would have to happen to make today the best day of your life?
Having all the people in my life that I love…together in one place.

What is your personal motto?
Carpe Diem – seize the day!
