Las Vegas, NV (January 23, 2025) – Mark Maluso, CEO of BASE Entertainment, has acquired a majority stake in the Las Vegas-based live entertainment entity he has run since 2016, it was announced today. Joining Maluso as CFO at BASE is Henry Chu, who previously served as Executive Vice President ofthe company.
Maluso said, “We are very happy to have closed this transaction with thanks to CEO Chuck Steedman and all of our great partners and colleagues at LiveCo. Before selling the company to LiveCo in 2021, founder Brian Becker (along with his partner Scott Zeiger) built BASE Entertainment by placing significant bets on the development, producing and financing of new content for the stage. Though our primary focus has been on production management in recent years, we plan to return to our roots, starting with the pursuit of new and developing work. Our forward-thinking strategy will also include select concert promotion and international attraction touring.

Maluso is an entertainment industry executive with more than 30 years of international experience in production and financing as well as agency representation and management. Maluso has lead BASE Entertainment businesses since 2016 helping to navigate the firms’ interests inLas Vegas. Prior to BASE, Maluso was President of CAMI Ventures, a subsidiary of Columbia Artists Management as well as Senior Vice President of IMG Artists, where he developed, produced and managed artists and attractions. He lives in Las Vegas with his wife Elaine Silverstone, Director of Workforce Development at the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
