Some stories have to be sung. A good storyteller uses everything he has. So Benjamin Scheuer uses his guitar — actually, six guitars — in The Lion, a wholly original downtown musical experience that tells one man’s gripping coming-of-age story. The award-winning songwriter inspires and disarms with his raw wit and emotional depth as he leads you on a rock n’ roll journey from boyhood to manhood, through pain and healing, to discover the redemptive power of music. Much like its hero, The Lion roars.

The Lion is currently playing at New York City’s Lynn Redgrave Theater at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street) with the following performance schedule: Wednesdays at 7:30 PM, Thursdays at 7:30 PM, Fridays at 8 PM, Saturdays at 5 PM & 8 PM, Sunday at 3 PM.  Tickets are $26 – $75 and are now available via www.TheLionMusical.com.

An exclusive mobile lottery for $10 tickets is available via TodayTix, New York’s theater ticketing app. The entry period will begin each day at midnight, and continue until winners are notified via push notification 3-4 hours before the selected performance begins. Winners will be offered the opportunity to purchase $10 tickets, and can pick up their tickets from the Lynn Redgrave Theater box office. Lottery tickets and seat locations are subject to availability.

The Lion is presented Off-Broadway at the Lynn Redgrave Theater by Eva Price, Stacey Mindich, Warner/Chappell Music, Tom McGrath, Spruce Lake Theatrical, Jamie DeRoy/Haley Swindal/Dan Shaheen, Scott M. Delman, and Robert Kraft.
