New York, NY – Blue Man Group, the international entertainment phenomenon, is celebrating the release of five versions of “Shake Your Euphemism” by sponsoring a national that invites fans to share their own favorite fanny euphemism and enter for the chance to win a trip for two to the gala opening night of the new Blue Man Group production at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on November 14, 2012.  The winner will also have their winning euphemism added to the finale song in the Monte Carlo production.  The contest runs from August 14 through September 16, 2012.

“When I was young, a wonderfully ridiculous novelty song would pop up on the Top 40 every so often,” said Chris Wink, co-founder of Blue Man Group. “We wanted to bring that tradition back to the radio with ‘Shake Your Euphemism.’ We like to think of this song as another example of how the Blue Man character can extend a moment or idea into something that becomes absurd, delightful, and thought-provoking all at the same time.”

The national contest, which launches tomorrow, encourages people of all ages to submit their most playful fanny euphemism to be added to the song.  Entries must be family-friendly and will be judged by their originality and distinction from any part of the current song.  Contestants can submit their best euphemisms by dropping off an entry form into a contest box at their local Blue Man Group Theatre in Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando or New York) or by visiting www.blueman.com, facebook.com/bluemangroup or by mail to National Contest c/o Blue Man Group, 599 Broadway, 6th Floor, NY, NY 10012.
