Broadway’s Best Shows

Lights dim, the curtain rises, and a new season of unforgettable Broadway storytelling begins. The best of Broadway begins with Shucked (Nov. 25-30, 2025), the Tony Award®–winning musical comedy The Wall Street Journal calls “flat out hilarious!” Featuring a book by Tony Award® winner Robert Horn (Tootsie), a score by the Grammy® Award–winning songwriting team of Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally (Kacey Musgraves’ “Follow Your Arrow”) and directed by Tony Award® winner Jack O’Brien (Hairspray), this corn-fed, corn-bred American musical is sure to satisfy the appetite for great musical theater.

From December 9-14, Moulin Rouge! The Musical takes over the house with its own world of splendor and romance, of eye-popping excess, of glitz, grandeur, and glory. Baz Luhrmann’s revolutionary film comes to life onstage, remixed in a new musical mash-up extravaganza. Directed by Tony Award® winner Alex Timbers, Moulin Rouge! The Musical is a theatrical celebration of Truth, Beauty, Freedom, and — above all — Love. Moulin Rouge! The Musical is the winner of 10 Tony Awards® — including Best Musical!

McCallum Theatre audiences will get a backstage look at one of the world’s most iconic artists when A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical hits the desert December 23-28, 2025. Created in collaboration with Neil Diamond himself, A Beautiful Noise is the uplifting true story of how a kid from Brooklyn became a chartbusting, show-stopping American rock icon. With 120 million albums sold, a catalogue of classics like “America,” “Forever in Blue Jeans,” and “Sweet Caroline,” an induction into the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a Grammy® Lifetime Achievement Award, and sold-out concerts around the world that made him bigger than Elvis, Neil Diamond’s story was made to shine on Broadway.

He earned his stripes on Broadway, and now the ghost-with-the-most is coming to Palm Desert. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice pops up March 24-29, 2026. Based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film, this hilarious musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes. Beetlejuice features an irreverent book, an astonishing set, and a score that’s out of this Netherworld.

From April 3-5, 2026, Hadestown audiences will be transported to another world where a song can change fate. Winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards®, including Best Musical and the 2020 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Theater Album, this acclaimed new show from celebrated singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and original director Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) is a love story for today… and always.

Broadway’s Leading Ladies

They hit the high notes, make us feel their lows, get us to fall in love, and always leave us wanting more – and they do it eight performances a week. The McCallum Theatre welcomes these Broadway legends for one night only concerts.

Sutton Foster has won the Tony Award® for Best Actress in a Musical… twice (Thoroughly Modern Millie and Anything Goes). Her recent roles in The Music Man, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Once Upon a Mattress continue to secure her place among the legends of Broadway. Audiences will want to secure their seats for Wednesday, November 12 to witness her concert.

Musical theatre royalty and official Disney legend Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Aladdin and Mulan), now starring on Broadway in Old Friends, appears Friday, November 14. From stage, screen and everything in between, Lea Salonga has racked up a list of accolades and awards that all point to an EGOT.

On Saturday, January 10, 2026, Christine Ebersole performs live in concert. Her extensive Broadway career includes her Tony Award-winning performance as Dorothy Brock in the hit revival of 42nd Street, in addition to leading roles in On the Twentieth Century, Oklahoma, Camelot, Gore Vidal’s The Best Man, Steel Magnolias, the revival of Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit, and Dinner at Eight, for which she received both Tony and Drama Desk Award Nominations.

Patti LuPone, the three-time Tony Award® winner, celebrates the 25th Anniversary of her acclaimed theatrical concert “Matters of the Heart”, which she performed for extended runs on Broadway, London’s West End, as well as on tour nationally and internationally. On Monday, February 23, the legend takes the audience on an exploration of the crimes, affairs, and the mysteries of the heart, with electrifying performances of over two dozen love songs ranging from Broadway favorites to works by today’s top contemporary songwriters.

Megan Hilty stunned television audiences with her portrayal of seasoned triple-threat Ivy Lynn in NBC’s musical drama “Smash.” Currently playing the role of Madeline Ashton in the new hit musical Death Becomes Her, Hilty just earned her another Tony Award® nomination and has proven to be a smash hit with critics and audiences alike. On Friday, March 6, she will deliver another powerhouse performance.

The Musical – the classic holiday tale comes to life on stage for 3 performances. Featuring the hit songs “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas,” The Grinch discovers there’s more to Christmas than he bargained for in this heart-warming story. This Nutcracker features an extraordinary international cast and Ukrainian principal artists performing at the peak of classical European Ballet.
