A PROVOCATIVE NEW PLAY
BY DAVID HAY
STAGE LICENSING NOW AVAILABLE
New York, NY (3/28/12) – Tony Award-winning producer Andy Sandberg, Whitney Hoagland Edwards and Neal-Rose Creations are pleased to announce that David Hay’s provocative new play, A Perfect Future, which received its world premiere Off-Broadway in 2011 at The Cherry Lane Theatre, has recently been published by Broadway Play Publishing, Inc. and is now available for stage licensing.
A Perfect Future is a darkly comic and provocative play that explores the question of whether people can be married and truly love each other when their political persuasions are diametrically opposed. This high-society evening is about to turn into a night of sexually charged mind-games that could change their lives forever. New York power-couple John and Natalie are hosting a dinner for Elliot, a friend from their days as college radicals. Also invited to the party is Mark, a straight-laced young man from John’s risk management firm. With the help of a few too many expensive bottles of wine, the group’s past and their long buried secrets resurface. Over the course of this raucous evening, their basic belief systems are upended, as the four must come to terms with what happens when we try to reconcile our idealism with reality.
The New York world premiere production was directed by Tony Award-nominee Wilson Milam (The Lieutenant of Inishmore) and featured Donna Bullock (Ragtime), Scott Drummond (Twelve Angry Men at George Street Playhouse), Daniel Oreskes (Russian Transport), and Michael T. Weiss (The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity, “The Pretender”)
The newly released published script is now on sale for $12.95 and available at The Drama Book Shop (240 West 40th Street), Amazon.com, or Broadway Play Publishing.
A Perfect Future is also now available for stage licensing. For inquiries, please contact Broadway Play Publishing by calling (212) 772-8334, via email at BroadwayPL@aol.com, or by visiting the website at www.BroadwayPlayPubl.com.

“Sharp and funny…a comedy of radical changes!”
— NY Daily News
“This much alcohol hasn't been consumed on stage, nor this much dirty laundry aired by a warring foursome, since Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf!”

“A darkly comic American tragedy by David Hay. You have to…feel it for yourself! A Perfect Future proves that one single drunken evening can change your world dramatically. The action is so captivating, that it left me in a daze, reeling from the emotional roller coaster ride.”
