New York, NY (6/22/12) — The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel (Giovanni Beretta, Managing Director) has announced the 2012 fall season of performers at the legendary Café Carlyle – the “favorite of all New York nightspots,” says fellow-New York legend Liz Smith.  In the upcoming season, the Café Carlyle will remain the only place in town to see Judy Collins, John Pizzarelli & Jessica Molaskey, Steve Tyrell, and Woody Allen, as the great Andrea Marcovicci joins the venue’s exclusive list of resident stars.

“Wherever you go in the world, everyone knows the Café Carlyle and its reputation for booking the very best talent around,” said Managing Director Giovanni Beretta.  “I am delighted to welcome back so many of our favorite performers, and also to see Andrea Marcovicci take our stage for the first time.”

The unofficial kick-off to New York’s social and cultural season will commence when legendary singer/songwriter Judy Collins begins her three-week engagement from September 11 – 29. Following Ms. Collins will be “The Queen of Cabaret” Andrea Marcovicci, making her Café Carlyle debut in a month-long engagement (October 2-27) with longtime musical director Shelly Markham in a program entitled “Smile.”    Husband and wife singing duo John Pizzarelli & Jessica Molaskey return for their annual fall engagement with an all new program from October 30 – November 24. Making his eighth consecutive holiday appearance in the Café Carlyle will be vocalist Steve Tyrell who will be in residence from November 27 – December 31.
