LOS ANGELES, CA (August 1, 2025) – Ahead of his highly anticipated opening night performance as ‘Judas’ in Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl tonight, GRAMMY Award-nominated superstar entertainer Adam Lambert teams up with one of the most influential figures in musical theater, Andrew Lloyd Webber to release a showstopping new rendition of “Heaven On Their Minds.” This reimagined recording of the iconic song, released via The Other Songs label, opens the world-famous musical and is now available everywhere digitally and is available to pre-order on limited edition 7” vinyl HERE.
Executively produced and arranged by Andrew Lloyd Webber, the new track was produced by Martin Terefe (Yungblud, Shawn Mendes, Christina Aguilera).
“I was thrilled when Andrew asked me if I wanted to record a studio version of ‘Heaven On Their Minds’,” Lambert previously told Variety. “This is a great way to commemorate my upcoming appearance as Judas and to give fans all around the world a little taste of what will happen onstage at the Hollywood Bowl.”
Lambert’s role as ‘Judas’ in the Hollywood Bowl’s production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar this weekend follows his long-awaited Broadway debut as ‘Emcee’ in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club earlier this year where his theatrical chops were praised by critics and fans alike. The New York Times and Town & Country hailed his performance in the role with Entertainment Weekly declaring the revival “even more of a must see with Adam Lambert” and Theatermania naming him “a breakout Broadway star.”

Adam Lambert (he/him) is a GRAMMY®-nominated singer songwriter, actor, producer, and LGBTQ+ trailblazer. The first openly gay male artist to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Lambert has released five studio albums and sold millions of albums worldwide. After blowing everyone away on “American Idol’s” eighth season, Lambert went on to become GRAMMY-nominated for his platinum-certified single “Whataya Want From Me” and has amassed an impressive catalog featuring five Top 10s on Billboard’s Top Album Sales Chart. He hosts and co-produced the ITV documentary Adam Lambert: Out, Loud and Proud, and his voiceover work includes notable projects like Megamind Rules, Fraggle Rock, and The Playmobil Movie.
An outspoken advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, Lambert launched the non-profit organization Feel Something Foundation in 2020 in support of LGBTQ+ human rights.
ABOUT ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER
Andrew Lloyd Webber has composed the scores of some of the world’s most famous musicals. His shows have run continuously in London’s West End for 50 years and ran for 43 uninterrupted years on Broadway.
When the original Sunset Boulevard joined School of Rock, CATS, and The Phantom of the Opera, he equalled Rodgers & Hammerstein’s record of four shows running simultaneously on Broadway. He is one of the select group of artists with EGOT status, having received Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards.
Lloyd Webber owns six London theatres including the iconic London Palladium and Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Reopened in July 2021, the latter was completely restored and renovated at a cost of over £60 million. This was one of the biggest projects ever undertaken by a private theatre owner in recent times. His mantra is that every penny of profit made from his theatres is ploughed back into the buildings for their conservation and development.
Lloyd Webber is passionate about the importance of musical education and diversity in the arts. The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation provides 30 performing arts scholarships every year for talented students with financial need, and supports a range of projects such as the Music In Secondary School Trust (MiSST), as well as commissioning research into diversity in theatre.
Andrew Lloyd Webber has composed music for globally significant moments. Most recently, he has asked to compose “Make a Joyful Noise”, the anthem for the Coronation of King Charles III.
Andrew Lloyd Webber was knighted in 1992, created an honorary life peer in 1997, and made a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter by King Charles III in 2024. He is the only person in the arts ever granted this personal honour by a monarch.
