New York, NY (Thursday, October 9, 2025) – Today, producers Michael Harrison and Mike Bosner announced that the wildly acclaimed, award-winning production of CATS: The Jellicle Ball, will play Broadway’s Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44^th Street) with previews beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2026 ahead of a Tuesday, April 7, 2026 opening night.

The production, which made its debut last season at Perelman Performing Arts Center | PAC NYC and was included in “The Best Theater” lists by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Time Out New York, New York Magazine, and The New Yorker, is directed by OBIE Award winners Zhailon Levingston and Bill Rauch and choreographed by Chita Rivera Award winners Omari Wiles and Arturo Lyons. CATS: The Jellicle Ball has music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and is based on Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot, by arrangement with LW Entertainment.

When CATS: The Jellicle Ball premiered at Perelman Performing Arts Center | PAC NYC in 2024, it became the must-see theater event of the summer. The production was extended three times and left audiences and critics enraptured. The Off-Broadway production was honored with two Outer Critics Circle Awards including Outstanding Revival, three OBIE Awards, a New York Drama Critics Circle Special Citation, a Chita Rivera Award, two Audelco Awards, three Dorian Theater Awards, and three Hewes Awards.

The creative team for CATS: The Jellicle Ball includes Tony Award winner Rachel Hauck (scenic design), OBIE Award winner and Drama Desk Award nominee Qween Jean (costume design), Drama Desk Award nominee Adam Honoré (lighting design), Tony Award winner Kai Harada (sound design), Brittany Bland (projection design), Special Tony Award recipient Nikiya Mathis (hair and wig design), Josie Kearns (dramaturg & gender consultant), William Waldrop (music supervisor and music director), Cooper Howell and N’yomi Allure Stewart (associate directors), X Casting: Victor Vazquez, CSA and Sujotta R. BIOGRAPHIES

Andrew Lloyd Webber (Composer) has composed the scores of some of the world’s most famous musicals. When Sunset Boulevard joined School of Rock, CATS, and The Phantom of the Opera he equaled Rodgers & Hammerstein’s record of four shows running simultaneously on Broadway. He is one of the select group of artists with EGOT status, having received Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards.

In New York, he recently opened Masquerade which brings audiences closer than ever before to his global phenomenon, The Phantom of the Opera. Hard at heels after the Tony Award Winning revival of Sunset Boulevard.

Lloyd Webber owns six London theaters including the iconic London Palladium and Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. Reopened in July 2021, the latter was completely restored and renovated at a cost of over $80 million. His mantra is that every penny of profit made from his theaters is put back into the buildings.

Lloyd Webber is passionate about the importance of musical education and diversity in the arts. In Britain, The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation provides 30 performing arts scholarships every year for talented students with financial need and supports a range of projects such as the Music in Secondary School Trust and commissioning research into diversity in theater. In the United States, the American Theatre Wing’s Andrew Lloyd Webber Initiative provides grant funding directly to under-resourced public schools for their theater programs and provides scholarships to grade school and university students pursuing studies in theater.

In 2023 Andrew Lloyd Webber partnered with Michael Harrison to produce new productions of existing work and his future musicals. His latest, the Illusionist, will be produced in London in 2027.

Andrew Lloyd Webber was knighted in 1992, created an honorary life peer in 1997, and made a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter by King Charles III in 2024.

Zhailon Levingston he/him (Director) is a Louisiana-raised storyteller, director, and activist who co-directed CATS: The Jellicle Ball, an immersive reimagining of the classic musical that premiered in 2024 at New York City’s Perelman Arts Center. The production earned him an OBIE Award (co-directing) as well as a Drama Desk, Drama League and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for Outstanding Direction of a Musical.

Zhailon’s first “Broadway” job was selling tickets to Broadway shows in Times Square. In 2017 he sold concessions for multiple Broadway theaters. At 27 years old, he became the youngest Black director in Broadway history, directing the Broadway production of Chicken and Biscuits. His other directing credits include Wonderful Town at New York City Center Encores!; Reconstructing at Brooklyn Academy of Music (co-directed with Rachel Chavkin); Little Miss Perfect (Olney Theater Center); Patience at Second Stage Theater; and Table 17 at MCC Theater (Lortel Award nominee for Outstanding Direction) and currently at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse.

Levingston is a board member of the Broadway Advocacy Coalition, Artistic Director of Inheritance Theater Project, and co-created a ‘Theater of Change’ course at Columbia University School of Law that is still being taught today. Once a year he returns to his hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana to direct community theater as a way to stay connected to his roots.

Bill Rauch (Director) is the inaugural Artistic Director of Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC), where he co-directed CATS: The Jellicle Ball. His work as a theater director has been seen across the nation, from community centers to Broadway in the Tony Award-winning production of All The Way (starring Bryan Cranston) and its sequel The Great Society (starring Brian Cox), as well as many of the largest regional theaters in the country. His other New York credits include the world premiere of Naomi Wallace’s Night Is A Room at Signature Theater, the New York premiere of Sarah Ruhl’s The Clean House at Lincoln Center Theater, and a site-specific Occasional Grace in multiple Manhattan churches for En Garde Arts.

From 2007 to 2019, Rauch was Artistic Director of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF), the country’s oldest and largest rotating repertory theater, where he directed seven world premieres and 20 other plays including several by Shakespeare as well as innovative productions of classic musicals including a queer re-envisioning of Oklahoma! Among his initiatives at OSF, Rauch commissioned 37 new plays to dramatize moments of change in U.S. history.

Rauch co-founded Cornerstone Theater Company where he served as artistic director from 1986 to 2006, directing more than 40 productions, most of them collaborations with diverse rural and urban communities nationwide.

CATS: The Jellicle Ball received multiple awards and nominations from the OBIEs, the New York Drama Critics Circle, the Outer Critics Circle, the Drama League, and the Drama Desk, including for the show’s direction. Rauch twice won the Independent Reviewers of New England Award. He is also the recipient of the 2018 Ivy Bethune Award from Actors’ Equity Association for his commitment to diversity in casting and producing, and a 2015 Ford Fellowship, among many other awards.

Omari Wiles he/him (Choreographer). Ousmane “Omari” Wiles is an African American West African and Vogue dancer. Wiles is best known as, legendary Omari NiNa Oricci, founder of The House of Nina Oricci [est. Oct. 2019] and Creative Director of LES BALLET AFRIK dance company.

Wiles was born in West Africa Senegal. He began his training in West African dance at the age of 6 years old, under the tutelage of his mother and father, who owned a dance company. Wiles joined his mother (Marie Basse Wiles) and father (BaBa Olukose Anthony Wiles) and became the assistant director of the family company, The Maimouna Keita School of African Dance. Working with master African dancers, Ousmane evolved the skills needed to teach the art of traditional African dance. Venturing further into the world of dance, Wiles found himself learning, training and falling in love with other styles such as Hip-Hop, House, Modern, Jazz, and Vogue.

Through his involvement with the ballroom scene, his love and passion for Vogue (dance) grew. As his notoriety in the ballroom scene grew, it began to grow outside of the ballroom scene as well. Wiles has had the opportunity to work with many artists, featuring his range of dance. His choreography has been featured with Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, John Legend, Jidenna, and Rashaad Newsome and he has worked as a featured dancer, showcasing Afrobeats (with Goldlink, Jidenna, Maleek Berry, and Wunmi), West African dance (with Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, and Forces), and Vogue (with Rashaad Newsome, Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Jennifer Hudson). Wiles has been published in Dance Magazine “Top 25 to Watch”, Korean Vogue, in a spread featuring Naomi Campbell, The Observer, Dance Mogul Magazine, and The New York Times. Wiles also appeared with his house (the house of Nina Oricci) as a contestant on “Legendary” season 2 on HBOMax.

Wiles is now evolving his own style of dance with his company LES BALLET AFRIK, blending African, Vogue, Modern, and House as one. He and his company have performed at the Joyce Theater, the Guggenheim, and the New York Metropolitan Museum.

Arturo Lyons he/him (Choreographer) is a dynamic choreographer based in New York, with a passion for dance that began in his school years. His versatile training in Hip Hop, Vogue, Reggae, and Street Jazz has shaped his unique choreographic style, which is complemented by his skills as a DJ and music producer. Lyons has choreographed for prestigious New York showcases such as The Carnival Choreographers Ball and Dance Harlem, as well as produced his own Off-Broadway show Vogue 4 Your Life in 2019, aiming to elevate vogue dance on a global scale.

Recently, Lyons made a significant impact in the entertainment world by joining HBO Mox’s hit show “Legendary” as a choreographer, achieving success with the House of Miyake Mugler in Season 2. He has also lent his talents to music videos, including projects with Madonna, Konshens, Daisha, Ken Dahl, and Dnay B. Lyons’s global reach extends to teaching at esteemed studios in cities like London, Paris, and Berlin. He has also performed and choreographed in countries such as Russia, Korea, Japan, and China.

Lyons’s work has been recognized and featured in various media outlets, including Dance Magazine, NY1, and Playbill. He has showcased his talents at high-profile events like the WNBA’s NY Liberty Pride Night half-time show and a special Pride event with Madonna in New York City. With upcoming projects on the horizon, Arturo continues to inspire and captivate audiences with his innovative choreography and creative vision.

André De Shields (Old Deuteronomy). In a career spanning 55 five years, De Shields, at age 79, has distinguished himself as an unparalleled actor/activist, educator, iconic philanthropist and Broadway Deity. As actor, De Shields’ mission is to fill intimate spaces with enormous beauty. He defines intimate spaces as the hearts of humanity. As activist, he endeavors to restore majesty, elegance and literacy to the Black thespian’s toolbox, to advocate for long term survivors of HIV and AIDS, and to champion the legacy of the Wellderly (elderly individuals who continue to kick butt). His idiosyncratic career has resulted in a treasure trove of accolades, among them an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts from his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he has founded The André De Shields Fund. His other marks of esteem include being declared the triple crown winner of the 2019 awards season, having garnered Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Grammy Awards for his universally acclaimed role in Hadestown as ‘Hermes,’ messenger to the gods. Perennially renowned for his show-stopping performances in four legendary Broadway productions –The Wiz (title role), Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Emmy Award), Play On! (Tony nomination), and The Full Monty (Tony nomination). His portrayal of ‘Old Deuteronomy’ in the radically re-imagined CATS: The Jellicle Ball was rewarded with the 2025 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Featured Performer in an Off-Broadway Musical, 2025 Dorian Theater Award for Outstanding Featured Performance in an Off-Broadway Production, the 2025 LGBTQ Theater Trailblazer Award, and the 2024 AUDELCO Award, in addition to special citations from New York Drama Critics Circle and the Obie Awards. Sydney James Harcourt he/him (Rum Tum Tugger) is an acclaimed American actor and singer known for his versatile talent and dynamic stage presence. Born in Detroit, Harcourt’s passion for music and the performing arts led him to New York City, where he is a member of the House of Nina Oricci. Harcourt’s career took off in the groundbreaking Broadway musical Hamilton. As an original cast member, he played multiple roles, including ‘James Reynolds’ and ‘Philip Schuyler,’ and served as an understudy for ‘Aaron Burr,’ for which he was the first replacement. Additionally, Harcourt has also appeared in the musicals Girl from the North Country, American Idiot, The Lion King, and most recently the Off-Broadway sensation CATS: The Jellicle Ball. Beyond his theater work, Harcourt has made significant strides in film and television. He has appeared in such popular TV shows as “DOC,” “Blue Bloods,” “NCIS: New Orleans,” “FBI,” “Tell Me a Story,” “Elementary,” and “Law & Order: SVU.” Harcourt also voices the role of the countertenor ‘Edouard’ in the hit Netflix anime series “Castlevania: Nocturne.” A Grammy winner, Harcourt is a sought after vocalist on stages across the country. He is also recognized by the Drama League, Drama Desk Awards, and the Lucille Lortel Awards for his outstanding performances. Dava Huesca she/her (Rumpleteazer). Born in Buffalo, NY, to Jamaican immigrants, Joseph’s discovered his voice in the music-filled halls of his local church, where performance became his first language. Junior LaBeija (Gus) has been a member of the Iconic House of LaBeija for more than 50 years. He is internationally known within both gay culture and Ballroom for being the trailblazer, pioneer, and iconic master of ceremony for the annual “Paris Is Burning Ball” hosted by the late trailblazer, pioneer, and icon Paris Dupree. LaBeija is the M.C. in the 1990 documentary Paris Is Burning by filmmaker Jennie Livingston. Known for the theatricality in his voice, Junior LaBeija often commanded the room with his spirit, wit, and power and several of his catchphrases have become iconic. To this day, he is a steadfast Ballroom and LGBTQIA historian, determined to keep the struggles, victories, and literature accurate and alive in this world.\

Robert “Silk” Mason they/them (Magical Mister Mistoffelees) is a multidisciplinary artist born in the Bronx, and raised in Columbia, SC. They graduated from The South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities for dance and The Juilliard School for Dance. They are an international award-winning commercial & film actor. They are a published model, choreographer, LGBTQIA+ youth leader, and the founding mother of The International Royal Haus of Silk.

“Tempress” Chasity Moore she/her (Grizabella) is an actress, singer, and Ballroom Icon/Hall of famer from Mount Vernon, N.Y. She began singing in church at age five, which led her to “Star Search,” The Apollo, and traveling with a high school drama troupe. Chasity attended Clark Atlanta University (Atlanta, GA) and pursued an acting and singing career. She was discovered by Tyler Perry, being cast as a principal role in I Know I’ve Been Changed. The name “Tempress” was born in Ballroom. She has made appearances on Ryan Murphy’s “Pose,” as well as in campaigns for Sephora, TV One, and more. She hosts a YouTube series and a podcast “FQCrazySexyCool.” Tempress’s latest accomplishment is playing ’Grizabella’ in CATS: The Jellicle Ball, the hottest ticket of the summer, which received many awards including an OBIE Award, 2025 Outer Circle Award, as well as New York Drama Critic Circle Award to name a few. Several write ups including Vogue, New York Times, The New Yorker, and more.

Primo Thee Ballerino he/him (Tumblebrutus) was born in Cincinnati, OH. He started training at the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has performed in many ballets such as Giselle, Dracula, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and more. Primo attended The Young Americans College of Performing Arts in Corona, CA and has traveled and toured to over 17 countries teaching dance, vocal music and confidence building through the arts. He has worked with some of the industry’s best choreographers, directors and producers. He was featured twice in NY Times and had a 2-page spread in Dance Magazine. He most recently was a breakout star in the new Off-Broadway musical CATS: The Jellicle Ball at Perelman Arts Center, which has since received many accolades including The Obie Award Special installment. Known as Thee Ballerino, Thee Human Tornado and Mr. $5k, Primo has now become a major statement in the Ballroom scene and many other artistic spaces.

Nora Schell they/them (Bustopher Jones) is honored to be back at the Broadhurst! Schell originated the role of Bustopher Jones in CATS: The Jellicle Ball Off-Broadway (Obie Award). Schell received Drama Desk, Drama League and Clive Barnes Award nominations for their Off-Broadway debut in Spamilton. They made their Broadway debut in Jagged Little Pill. Schell serves as a cowriter and composer for the new musical Sweet Canaan (Berkeley Rep Groundfloor). Bebe Nicole Simpson she/her (Demeter). Born and raised California, Bebe is an expanding artist rooted in her profound love for music and storytelling. A few credits include: Broadway: Camelot. Emma Sofia (Cassandra/Skimbleshanks) is a proud Latina who graduated from SUNY Purchase Dance Conservatory and immediately joined the International Tour of West Side Story. She started as a concert dancer in companies Ballet Hispanico and Morphoses and soon made her Broadway debut as ‘Wendy’ in the original cast of Finding Neverland. She originated the role of ‘Veruca Salt’ in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory before starring in multiple television roles, most notably in FX’s “Fosse/Verdon,” NBC’s “Law & Order: SVU” and as ‘Celia’ opposite Kyra Sedgwick in ABC’s “Call Your Mother.” She has and continues to produce and star in multiple original cabaret shows throughout New York City nightlife. “The truth is no one of us can be free until everybody is free” – Maya Angelou.

Garnet Williams she/they (Bombalurina) is a writer, actor, and singer originally from Atlanta, Ga. This is her Broadway debut. Recently seen as ‘Nina Simone’ in Nina Simone: Four Women (Geva Theater), an OBIE Award-winning turn in CATS: The Jellicle Ball (PAC NYC) Off Broadway, ‘Trix’ in The Drowsy Chaperone (Concert at Carnegie Hall), and her sold-out show Garnet with a G at Joe’s Pub. Teddy Wilson Jr. (Sillabub). Ft. Lauderdale-born with a B.F.A. in Musical Theater from Penn State University, Wilson, is extremely grateful for the opportunities that’s have led up to this moment. Coming off PAC’s production in 2024 and the latest production of Drag: The Musical at New World Stages, she’s excited to be stepping back into the role of ‘Sillabub’ with this production of CATS: The Jellicle Ball for her Broadway debut. “With special thanks to CTG, her parents, and the friends and family who have supported them along the way.
