What do you consider to be your best asset?
I learned how to cook eggs properly every which way as a line cook at Steak ‘n Shake. This has served me well in my personal life.

What was your proudest moment?
Pretty predictably – being nominated for a Tony Award.

What is your favorite drink?
Filthy dirty vodka martini with a sidecar at Centrale.

What is your favorite food?
Bacon, Egg and Cheese with mayo and hot sauce on toasted buttered roll.

What is your favorite condiment?
Mustard. Specifically, Colman’s English Mustard.

What is your current obsession?
Bushcrafting videos where people build shelters out of timber and moss on YouTube.

If you could give up one of your vices, what would it be?
Ugh, the occasional cigarette.

What is the one professional accomplishment you long for most?z
A steady career punctuated by lots of new American plays.

What is the one thing you waste too much money on?
Food. I like to cook, but boy do I love a dinner out.

What is the one activity you waste too much time doing?
TikTok. I immediately scroll past that woman who comes on and tells me I should take a break to meditate or sleep.

What do you consider to be the single greatest threat to your health?
The Trump Administration.

What’s the single best trait you inherited or learned from your parents?
Generosity.

What’s the single worst trait you inherited or learned from your parents?
People-pleasing.

What in the world most thrills you?
Massive acts of peaceful rebellion.

What current trend in popular culture most irritates you?
Those people on the internet who tell you they created a brand-new recipe for a high-protein snack and it’s just egg salad.

What was the most embarrassing moment you’ve ever experienced on the job?
I think I’ve ripped more than a few pairs of pants on set, but I have very little shame.

What is your favorite place in the world?
Under my mother’s dining room table or Chicago. Kidding, that’s from “For Your Consideration”.  So I’ll say Woodstock, NY.

What is the most important trait you seek in a romantic partner?
Intelligence, which my partner Alex Templer has in spades.

Do you prefer the company of dogs or cats?
I grew up a cat person (5 in the house!) and still love them but my dog Banana might read this, so dogs.

What would have to happen to make today the best day of your life?
Guns gone and a great chicken salad sandwich with a perpetually running Broadway show.

What is your personal motto?
Greatness is folly without kindness.
