Every day is opening night.

A Man of the Times

On page six of this Sunday’s New York Times Arts & Leisure, you won’t be reading about leisure, but you’ll definitely be reading about art – the art of publicity. In this photo of the week, we see the man himself reading a full page spread about that business, where every day is opening night, and every night is an intoxicating frenzy of spectacular shows, classic soirees, and moments that take your breath away. The piece is about Rick Miramontez and his dedicated staff (if we do say so ourselves), but it is also about the shows that make this season so exciting. There are our shows – A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, After Midnight, Beautiful – The Carole King Musical; and of course, there is our collaboration with Thomas Schumacher and his Disney Theatrical team on the tour de force that is Aladdin. Reporter Patrick Healy has painted an accurate and exciting portrait of a wild ride to the Tonys, with Mr. Miramontez as his trusty guide.
