Barry Mann
It's safe to say Barry Mann has contributed, in some way, to the soundtrack
of your life. A Brill Building staple in the 1970's that went on to create some of
the most memorable tunes in American history, Mann's repertoire includes
“You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin” (which, by the way, remains the most played
song in the history of pop), “We Gotta Get out of This Place”, and, of course,
“On Broadway”. His wife and lifelong collaborator, Cynthia Weil, provides
the words to his music. Mann & Weil have established themselves as one of
the greatest songwriting teams in history. In the hit Broadway musical,
Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, you can catch Jessica Keenan Wynn
and Jarrod Spector playing the dynamic duo. Today, we are thrilled to have
the real deal, Barry Mann, On the Couch!

A Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino bought in a supermarket with added whipping cream….. When
a drink makes you nauseous, upsets your stomach, makes you feel your'e having a heart attack and you drink it anyway it's your favorite drink!

Any food that makes me nauseous, upsets my stomach and makes me feel I'm having a heart attack.
What is your current obsession?
Obsessing.
If you could give up one of your vices, what would it be?
Molesting myself!
What is the one professional accomplishment you long for most?
To sing “Hava Nagila” in a rally for The American Nazi Party.
What is the one thing you waste too much money on?
Buying too many Starbuck's Frappuccinos.

Looking for a new ailment to obsess about.

Dying!!!

What was the single most embarrassing moment you've ever experienced on the job?
At a Christmas party filled with every celebrated actor in the world, when I got up to sing “Lovin Feeling” and the piano player began playing I started singing in the wrong key. (True story)
What is your favorite place in the world?
My bathroom.
What is the most important trait you seek in a romantic partner?
Someone who would love sharing my depressions with me.
Do you prefer the company of dogs or cats?
Whichever one is the sexiest.
What would have to happen to make today the best day of your life?
To have my character and a bunch of my songs in a hit Broadway Musical.

I'm just doing the best I don't know how!!!
