The Palace is one of Broadway’s most preeminent theatres. “Playing The Palace” has been synonymous with the pinnacle of success since the theatre opened in 1913. The venue has been home to such legendary performers as Josephine Baker, Harry Belafonte, Elvis Presley, Shirley MacLaine, Bette Midler, Diana Ross, Liza Minnelli, and perhaps most famously Judy Garland. The venue closed in 2018 for a significant renovation and restoration, including raising the historically landmarked venue 30 feet in the air.
Directed by Tony Award winner Michael Arden, Ben Platt: Live at the Palace celebrates the release of his upcoming album Honeymind, available Friday, May 31 via Interscope Records and executive produced by Dave Cobb. The evening, the latest chapter of a storied career jam-packed with hits and acclaimed performances in Dear Evan Hanson, Pitch Perfect, and Parade, will showcase Platt’s insightful original lyrics and breathtaking vocals from the new album, selections from Reverie and Sing to Me Instead, as well as a few surprises for fans of the platinum-selling superstar.
“Treehouse” the third single from Honeymind was released and features GRAMMY-winning Americana icon – and songwriter of the Tony Award winning musical Shucked – Brandy Clark. The delicate ballad, following the dreamy “Andrew” and the anthemic “Cherry on Top,” can be heard HERE. Pre-order Honeymind HERE.
