FAVORITE NEW MUSICAL

“COMPANY” AND “THE MUSIC MAN” LEAD WITH MOST AWARDS

New York, NY (June 1, 2022) – The Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winners were revealed today. The winners were selected by fans who voted in a comprehensive Broadway.com survey which included 22 competitive categories.

This year, Company and The Music Man won the most awards, winning four awards each. Hollywood stars also made a mark on Broadway this year, with two wins for Jesse Williams (Favorite Featured Actor in a Play, Favorite Breakthrough Performance Male), two wins for Hugh Jackman (Favorite Leading Actor in a Musical and Favorite Onstage Pair with Sutton Foster) and awards for Daniel Craig (Favorite Leading Actor in a Play), Sarah Jessica Parker (Favorite Leading Actress in a Play), and Uzo Aduba (Favorite Featured Actress in a Play).

In its 22nd year, the Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards celebrate the fan favorites of the season by giving the vote to the people. A full list of winners (bolded) is included below. The voting period opened Wednesday, May 11th and concluded on Sunday, May 15th at 11:59pm. Voting was open to everyone through Broadway.com.
