Carol Lawrence at “West Side Story”
Carol Lawrence, West Side Story‘s original Maria from the 1957 production, took in the show Tuesday night and got her very own, very special, bow during curtain call, when Shereen Pimentel, this production’s Maria, acknowledged her from the stage. Ms. Lawrence, got a sustained standing ovation from the packed house of adoring fans – both old and new.
