New York, NY (September 12, 2014) – The complete Broadway cast for the critically-lauded reimagining of the musical Side Show has been announced.  Under the direction of Academy Award® winning director Bill Condon (Chicago, Dreamgirls, Twilight Breaking Dawn Parts 1 & 2), making his theatrical debut, Side Show will begin previews performances at Broadway’s St. James Theatre on Tuesday, October 28 with an official Opening Night on Monday, November 17.

Joining previously announced Erin Davie and Emily Padgett, who reprise their leading roles as Violet and Daisy Hilton, will be Matthew Hydzik as Buddy Foster, Robert Joy as Sir, Ryan Silverman as Terry Connor, and David St. Louis as Jake.  The ensemble of side show characters will include Brandon Bieber as the 3 Legged Man, Matthew Patrick Davis as the Geek, Charity Angel Dawson as the Fortune Teller, Lauren Elder as the Venus di Milo, Javier Ignacio as the Dog Boy, Jordanna James as the World’s Tiniest Woman, Kelvin Moon Loh as the Half-Man Half-Woman, Barrett Martin as the Human Pin Cushion, Don Richard as the Reptile Man, Blair Ross as the Bearded Lady, Hannah Shankman as the Tattoo Girl, Josh Walker as the World’s Tiniest Man, with Con O’Shea-Creal, Derek Hanson, and DeLaney Westfall.

Featuring a “supercharged score” (Charles Isherwood, New York Times), Side Show includes new music by multiple Grammy Award® winner and Academy Award®, Golden Globe®, and Tony Award® nominee Henry Krieger (Dreamgirls), with book and lyrics by Tony Award® nominee Bill Russell and additional book material by Bill Condon, and choreography by Tony and Olivier Award® nominee Anthony Van Laast (Mamma Mia).

As previously announced, the “Broadway dream” design team includes scenic design by three-time Tony Award® nominee David Rockwell (Kinky Boots, Hairspray, “Academy Awards”); lighting design by nine-time Tony Award® winners Jules Fisher & Peggy Eisenhauer (Ragtime, Gypsy, Chicago); costume design by five–time Tony Award® nominee Paul Tazewell (The Color Purple, In the Heights); sound design by Tony Award® nominee Peter Hylenski (Motown, After Midnight); hair and wig design by Charles LaPointe (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Motown); make-up design by Cookie Jordan, illusions by Paul Kieve (Pippin, Matilda, Ghost); and special make-up effects by the Academy Award® winning team Dave Elsy & Lou Elsy (X-Men, The Wolfman).  The revised book and lyrics are by Bill Russell, with music by Henry Krieger, and additional book material by Bill Condon.  Musical direction and arrangements are by Sam Davis (Dreamgirls at the Apollo), orchestrations are by six time Tony Award® nominee Harold Wheeler, (Hairspray, Dreamgirls, The Wiz); and choreography is by Tony and Olivier Award® nominee Anthony Van Laast (Mamma Mia).  Since its inception, Jack Tantleff has served as Creative Supervisor.

Side Show is being produced by Darren Bagert, Martin Massman, Jayne Baron Sherman, Universal Stage Productions, Joan Raffe & Jhett Tolentino, Joined At The Hip, ShadowCatcher Entertainment, Michael Kaiser, Catherine & Fred Adler, Jim Kierstead, Marc Levine, Seaview Productions, Pretty Little Freaks, Matthew Masten, and Jujamcyn Theaters in association with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and La Jolla Playhouse.
