ONE NIGHT ONLY

MONDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2014

7:00 P.M.

AT NEW WORLD STAGES

New York –Legendary civil rights activist and author David Mixner will premiere Oh Hell No!, an evening autobiographical storytelling, in a special one-night-only event on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.   Taking place at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street), Oh Hell No! will benefit Point Foundation.  Amy and Jeff Towers will present the evening, which will be produced by Tim Ranney.

It may be his hard-won reputation as a political firebrand that has secured David Mixner his place in the history books, but his secret weapon has always been his folksy, homespun charm.  A natural born storyteller, in the grand tradition of the American South, Mixner brings his audience right onto his metaphorical front porch in his theatrical tell-all, Oh Hell No!, recounting both personal and public details of his headline-grabbing and history-shaping life.  Directed by Stephen Brackett and featuring a specially assembled trio boasting the voices of Chris Bolan, Megan Osterhaus, and Tim Jerome, Oh Hell No! is a riveting and singular evening of story and song.

Event chairs for the evening include Alan Cumming, Robert Desiderio, Herb Hamsher, Judith Light, Ken Mehlman, Rob Smith, Jonathan Stoller, Jorge Valencia, and Edie Windsor.

For information on tickets, including Premium Seating with special access to the post-performance VIP reception at Glass House Tavern, please contact Drew Rhodes at (212) 512-5785 or drew@pointfoundation.org.

Proceeds from this one night only event will benefit Point Foundation, which empowers promising lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential – despite the obstacles often put before them – to make a significant impact on society.  To contribute to the Point Foundation, please visit: https://www.pointfoundation.org/donate.
