Farewell to the Side Show

The holidays have ended and Broadway glamour has returned. Poised to conjure up one of the best seasons in history, the Great White Way is not wasting any time this first week, and nor am I. 1. & 2. I started off the week on a somber note, though, as I attended the closing of Side Show. Henry Krieger and Bill Russell created a true masterpiece; Bill Condon and the Side Show team fashioned an utterly beautiful production; I couldn’t understand how and why I was watching the show’s final performance. Fortunately, the cast was buoyed by their unshakeable fan base, and the wonderful community that is Broadway. You will be missed, Hilton twins.
