New York, NY (5/7/12) – Producers Victor Syrmis and Carl Rumbaugh, along with Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Artistic Director) announced today that the World Premiere of In Masks Outrageous and Austere, the final full-length play by Tennessee Williams, will end its limited engagement following the matinee performance on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. The show, which began previews at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street at Lafayette Street) on April 6 and opened on Monday, April 16, will have played 9 preview performance and 28 regular performances.
Written by Tennessee Williams and directed by David Schweizer, In Masks Outrageous and Austere stars Tony® and Emmy Award-winner Shirley Knight, Scot Charles Anderson, Kaolin Bass, Robert Beitzel, Connor Buckley, Alison Fraser, Christopher Halladay, Ward Horton, Jonathan Kim, Jermaine Miles, Pamela Shaw, and Sam Underwood.
The In Masks Outrageous and Austere creative team includes James Noone (set design), Gabriel Berry (costume design), Alexander V. Nichols (lighting design), Dan Moses Schreier (sound design), Darrel Maloney (video & projection design), Cookie Jordan (wigs & make-up design) and Joe E. Jeffreys (dramaturg).
The remaining performance schedule for In Masks Outrageous and Austere is: Tuesday-Friday at 8pm; Saturday at 2 & 8pm; Sunday at 3pm.
