Julee Cerda

Julee Cerda

Ask any actor: to play a lawyer is a difficult task. To appear composed, not mechanical; authoritative and at the
same time human. Not everyone can do it, but Julee Cerda certainly can, and can with a seeming ease rarely
seen on the Broadway stage. This season she plays Edna Kline in the revival of Mark Medoff’s Children of a Lesser
God at Studio 54. Her entrance adds a welcome new dimension to an already powerful piece of theater, and it’s in
no small part due to her powerful presence and unique skill as a stage performer. Julee has appeared in multiple
television series including “Orange Is the New Black,” “Billions” and “Kevin Can Wait.” Film credits include
Passengers and The Intern. This week, Julee Cerda took some time away from litigation, and caught up with us for
a moment On the Couch.
