New York, NY (February 6, 2015) – Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that the Tony Award®-winning musical Kinky Boots, will premiere in the West End at London’s Adelphi Theatre beginning August 21, 2015. Tickets to Kinky Boots will be available to the public beginning March 2, 2015.

“We are thrilled and deeply honored to be bringing Kinky Boots back home to British shores, where this inspirational story is set,” said Roth and Luftig. “The show is big-hearted and filled with joy, and we trust that it will be warmly embraced by audiences in the UK.” Director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell added, “I am delighted to see this big-spirited musical arrive in London. Kinky Boots is very close to my heart, and I am really looking forward to staging it here with a British cast.”

Kinky Boots tells the uplifting and heartwarming tale of Charlie Price, a young man reluctantly taking over his family’s struggling business. Charlie meets and finds inspiration in Lola and together, the unlikely pair finds that they have more in common than they ever dreamed possible… and discovers that when you change your mind about someone, you can change your whole world. The winner of six 2013 Tony® Awards, including Best Musical, Kinky Boots features a Tony® Award-winning score by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, a book by Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein, and direction and choreography by Tony® Award-winner Jerry Mitchell.
