This new CD, produced by Hugh Fordin, is drawn from Ted Chapin's highly-lauded Lyrics & Lyricists program at New York's 92nd Street Y.  Inspired by the American Theatre Wing's Stage Door Canteen initiative, it presents a wide selection of musical responses to World War II from giants of the musical stage and screen such as Rodgers & Hammerstein, Frank Loesser and Irving Berlin. Performers Monk, Dixon and Wolfe will sing numbers that both entertained and inspired wartime music lovers, and continue to do so today.
