OF THE HIT OFF BROADWAY SHOW

New York, NY (7/19/2011) – Producer Daryl Roth announced today that Love, Loss, and What I Wore will welcome La La Anthony, Marylouise Burke, Maddie Corman and Yeardley Smith in upcoming casts and that Ann Harada, Anne Meara and Ashley Austin Morris will return to the hit Off Broadway show, now playing at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43 Street).

Marylouise Burke (HBO’s “Hung”), Ann Harada (Avenue Q) and Yeardley Smith (“The Simpsons”) join the August cast, beginning Wednesday, August 10 through Sunday, September 4, 2011. September welcomes back returning cast members Anne Meara (“Sex and the City”) and Ashley Austin Morris (“The Electric Company”), from Wednesday, September 7 through Sunday, October 2, 2011. Actress and TV personality La La Anthony (MTV’s “TRL”) joins the October cast (Wednesday, October 5 through Sunday, October 30), and Maddie Corman (Next Fall) will take part in the November cast, performing Wednesday, November 2 through Sunday, December 11, 2011.

October 1, 2011 marks the two year anniversary of Love, Loss, and What I Wore, which has played more than 700 performances thus far.

Written by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, opened in October 2009 at the Westside Theatre (407 W 43rd Street), where it’s broken all box office records. Directed by Karen Carpenter, this collection of stories is based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman, as well as on the recollections of the Ephrons’ friends. Like the popular book, Love, Loss, and What I Wore uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that all women can relate to.

The production, which was honored with a 2010 Drama Desk Award and a Broadway.com Audience Award, is performed by a rotating cast of five all-star actors, who perform in five-week cycles. Members of the rotating cast have included Samantha Bee, Alexis Bledel, Kristin Chenoweth, Tyne Daly, Fran Drescher, Janeane Garofalo, Melissa Joan Hart, Carol Kane, Minka Kelly, Stacy London, Jane Lynch, Natasha Lyonne, AnnaLynne McCord, Anne Meara, Rosie O’Donnell, Rhea Perlman, Caroline Rhea, Doris Roberts, Tracee Ellis Ross, Sherri Shepherd, Brooke Shields, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Cobie Smulders, Rita Wilson and many more.

In addition to its New York production, Love, Loss, and What I Wore has played in Los Angeles, Toronto, Sydney and more and will kick-off its first national tour at Chicago’s Broadway Playhouse theatre beginning September 13, 2011.

The performance schedule for Love, Loss, and What I Wore is as follows: Tuesday at 7 p.m., Wednesday and Saturday at 2 p.m. & 8 p.m., Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets ($79.00) are available via Telecharge.com (212-239-6200) and in-person at the Westside Theatre Box Office (407 West 43rd Street). Alani (La La) Anthony can be seen in “La La’s Full Court Life” on VH1 beginning August 22. She most recently starred in the hit film, Gun and can be seen in the film Think Like a Man next year. La La has her own production company, Krossover Productions, which produced the critically acclaimed “Tyson.” TV: “La La’s Full Court Wedding,” “Total Request Live” (host), “CSI” and “Charm School.”

Yeardley Smith is an Emmy award-winning actress, producer, novelist, playwright and philanthropist. Having starred in some of the most beloved films and TV shows over the last two decades, she is best known as the voice of ‘Lisa Simpson’ on Fox's hit television show, “The Simpsons,” which earned her an Emmy for “Outstanding Voice-over Achievement.” Her new shoe line, Marchez Vous is available in stores and online this fall.
