JOIN THE CAST OF THE HIT OFF BROADWAY SHOW
New York, NY (7/6/2011) – Producer Daryl Roth announced today that Love, Loss, and What I Wore alumnae Anita Gillette (“30 Rock”) and Aisha de Haas (Caroline, Or Change) will return to the hit Off Broadway show, completing the cast that begins today (Wednesday, July 6) and runs through Sunday, August 7, 2011 at the Westside Theatre (407 W 43rd Street). They join previously announced cast members Alison Fraser (The Divine Sister), Marla Maples (“The Ex-Wives Club”) and Zuzanna Szadkowski (“Gossip Girl”).
Written by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, opened in October 2009 at the Westside Theatre (407 W 43rd Street), where it’s broken all box office records and is now in its second smash year. Directed by Karen Carpenter, this collection of stories is based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman, as well as on the recollections of the Ephrons’ friends. Like the popular book, Love, Loss, and What I Wore uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that all women can relate to.
The production, which was honored with a 2010 Drama Desk Award and a Broadway.com Audience Award, is performed by a rotating cast of five all-star actors, who perform in five-week cycles. Members of the rotating cast have included Samantha Bee, Alexis Bledel, Kristin Chenoweth, Tyne Daly, Fran Drescher, Janeane Garofalo, Melissa Joan Hart, Carol Kane, Minka Kelly, Stacy London, Jane Lynch, Natasha Lyonne, AnnaLynne McCord, Anne Meara, Rosie O’Donnell, Rhea Perlman, Caroline Rhea, Doris Roberts, Tracee Ellis Ross, Sherri Shepherd, Brooke Shields, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Cobie Smulders, Rita Wilson and many more.
In addition to its New York production, Love, Loss, and What I Wore has played in Los Angeles, Toronto, Sydney and more and kick-off its first national tour at Chicago’s Broadway Playhouse theatre beginning September 13, 2011.
The performance schedule for Love, Loss, and What I Wore is as follows: Tuesday at 7 p.m., Wednesday and Saturday at 2 p.m. & 8 p.m., Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets ($79.00) are available via Telecharge.com (212-239-6200) and in-person at the Westside Theatre Box Office (407 West 43rd Street). Alison Fraser recently originated the roles of Arsinoë in David Ives's School For Lies at CSC and Sister Walburga in Charles Busch's The Divine Sister. She is a two time Tony nominee for playing Martha in The Secret Garden and Josefine in Romance/Romance. Other Broadway: Dorine in Tartuffe, Helena in Drood, and Tessie Tura in Arthur Laurents's production of Gypsy starring Patti Lupone. Off Broadway: Jessie in Dedication, Trina in March of the Falsettos and In Trousers, Miss Drumgoole in Up Against It and original cast of Beehive. Film and TV: “Between the Lions,” “Law & Order” “Third Watch,” The Thing About My Folks”, “In the Blood” and “Commentary.”

Other appearances include Birdland Jazz, Goodman Theatre, The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center and several performances with the Broadway Inspirational Voices.
Marla Maples made her Broadway debut as “Ziegfield’s Favorite” in The Will Rogers Follies and also performed as Ursula in Sweet Charity at Avery Fisher Hall. She has hosted “The Miss Universe” and “Miss USA” pageants, “The Ex Wives Club” and is a recurring panelist on “The Joy Behar Show.” As an actor she has appeared in over 15 films and numerous TV guest starring roles. Marla just launched the “One World of Love” album and was thrilled to be able to perform the title song at Carnegie Hall this past winter. Zuzanna Szadkowski plays Dorota in the CW’s hit drama “Gossip Girl” and was voted #7 in Rolling Stone’s “50 Reasons to Watch TV.” Other TV credits include “Guiding Light,” “The Sopranos,” “Law and Order,” and “Law and Order: Criminal Intent.” Theater credits include Olly's Prison at A.R.T., directed by Robert Woodruff, and Spring Awakening in Moscow. Zuzanna received a B.A. from Barnard College and an M.F.A. in acting from the A.R.T./MXAT Institute at Harvard.
