Every day is opening night.

Marilu Henner is a whirlwind of energy. In the past few weeks, she had a Hallmark Channel film “January in June” air, she testified before Congress on dietary guidelines and the food pyramid, she appeared with the Veggie Caucus in DC, her super-memory was profiled in an update segment on “60 Minutes”, she is in the middle of filming four episodes for the Golden Globe winning comedy show “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and to top it off she has her own live daily nationally syndicated radio program. Boy is she busy…but not busy enough to not answer our On The Couch questions…

What do you consider to be your best asset?

My memory.

What was your proudest moment?

Besides the birth of my two children, getting my first health book “Total Health Makeover” on the New York Times best-seller list.

What is your favorite drink?

Kikusui sake.

What is your favorite food?

Roasted Porcini mushrooms.

What is your favorite condiment?

Veganaise.

What is your current obsession?

Helping people bring back memories long forgotten.

If you could give up one of your vices, what would it be?

I love my vices!

What is the one professional accomplishment you long for most?

Another classic sitcom.

What is the one thing you waste too much money on?

Venti soy chais.

What is the one activity you waste too much time doing?

Reality show recaps.

What do you consider to be the single greatest threat to your health?

Having lost my parents when they were 52 and 58, I would have to say my genes.

What is the single best trait you inherited or learned from your parents?

A love of learning.

What in the world most thrills you?

Being with my husband and kids.

What current trend in popular culture most irritates you?

Texting while driving.

What was the single most embarrassing moment you've ever experienced on the job?

I was on stage for the final performance of a show where my character is singing and packing for a romantic getaway and as a prank a few members of the ensemble had switched out my usual prop clothes for sex toys! Not a note was sung that day because I was laughing so hard.

What is your favorite place in the world?

My kitchen when everyone is cooking, laughing, and eating!

What is the most important trait you seek in a romantic partner?

The ability to adjust to Plan B.

Do you prefer the company of dogs or cats?

Cats.

Learn to love the food that loves you!
