New York, NY (October 1, 2018) – The American Theatre Wing (Heather Hitchens, President & CEO) announced today that Nadine Wong has been appointed to the Board of Trustees after having served on the Advisory Committee.
“Nadine has been a key part of the Wing for the past several years. She served as co-chair of the last two Galas, which have been the most successful in our history. I am thrilled that Nadine will continue her aid and support of the Wing in her new role on the Board,” said Heather Hitchens, President & CEO of the American Theatre Wing.

Nadine Wong is an Executive Director, Private Wealth Advisor and Global Sports and Entertainment Director with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in New York. She works directly with high net worth individuals, multigenerational families, and foundations. Forbes awarded Nadine in 2018, its inaugural list of Best-in-State Wealth Advisors and Americas Top Women Wealth Advisors, Financial Times 2017 Top 400 Financial Advisors – one of 56 in New York State. Morgan Stanley honored her with the inaugural 2014 Women of Achievement MAKERS award and Barron’s named her on the Top 100 Women Financial Advisers in the United States 2006-2010 and Top 100 New York Financial Advisors 2009. Nadine Co-Chairs the Multicultural Employee Networking Group and is Co-Founder of Out on Broadway. She has been a guest speaker at the Dramatists Guild, Social Impact Exchange, Barron’s and Morgan Stanley leadership events. A passion for giving back, Nadine connects her network, to raise funds for non-profits such as Second Stage Theater, American Theatre Wing, Hispanic Federation, Stuttering Association for the Young, Drama League and A.R.T. Among her civic activities, she formerly served as chair of development of the Drama League board and co-chair of the 2013 Innocence Project Benefit. Early in her career, Nadine was a two-time game show winner of Classic Concentration and Win, Lose or Draw and former Fashion Model with the prestigious Ford Modeling Agency. Nadine received her B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and M.B.A. from Columbia University.
One hundred years ago, on the eve of America’s entry into World War I, seven suffragettes—all women of the theatre—came together to form The Stage Women’s War Relief. A century later, the spirit and vision behind the founding of American Theatre Wing remains a touchstone for all we do. The Wing continues to champion bravery, with a focus on developing the next generation of brave artists. We envision an American Theatre that is as vital, multi-faceted, and diverse as the American people.
The Wing’s programs span the nation to invest in the growth and evolution of American Theatre. We provide theatre education opportunities for underserved students through the Andrew Lloyd Webber Initiative, develop the next generation of theatre professionals through the SpringboardNYC, Theatre Intern Network, and SwingSeats programs, incubate innovative theatre across the country through the National Theatre Company Grants, support emerging musical theatre songwriters through the Musical Theatre Songwriting Challenge (co-presented with the NEA) and the Jonathan Larson® Grants, and illuminate the creative process through the Emmy-nominated “Working in the Theatre” documentary series. In addition to founding the Tony Awards®, which are co-presented with The Broadway League, the American Theatre Wing co-presents the Obie Awards®, Off Broadway’s Highest Honor, with The Village Voice.
