Every day is opening night.

Neka Zang, one of six wonderstudies (new, official term) in Bob Fosse’s DANCIN‘, sadly closing this Sunday, joins us On The Couch. Her Broadway and regional career spans show’s such as Wicked, Rock of Ages, and Mary Poppins, as well as numerous commercials for all of your favorite brands.

What do you consider to be your best asset?
My big big heart.

What was your proudest moment?
Calling my parents to tell them I was going to be on Broadway fulfilling my childhood dream.

What is your favorite drink?
Spicy Paloma with Vodka instead of mezcal.

What is your favorite food?
At the moment a NYC bagel with veggie cream cheese. Capers. Tomatoes and cucumbers.

What is your favorite condiment?
DILL. Does that count? I could put Dill on everything. Super underrated herb.

What is your current obsession?
Dill! JK. My current obsession is digging up old videos of Fosse. His interviews Dancing, Choreography, Shows. Anything I can find!

If you could give up one of your vices, what would it be?
Being so hard on myself. I’m working on it daily.

What is the one professional accomplishment you long for most?
Satisfaction.

What is the one thing you waste too much money on?
Beauty products.

What is the one activity you waste too much time doing?
Looking at Instagram.

What do you consider to be the single greatest threat to your health?
Stress.

What’s the single best trait you inherited or learned from your parents?
I’m a resilient chameleon. My parents always allowed me to keep shifting and growing.

What’s the single worst trait you inherited or learned from your parents?  
Nothing. They are perfect! Hi Mom and Dad. 😊

What in the world most thrills you?
Traveling the world.

What current trend in popular culture most irritates you?
Being glued to our phones.

What was the most embarrassing moment you’ve ever experienced on the job? 
I flew off the stage during Rock of Ages. Literally flew into the audience. Ouch.

What is your favorite place in the world?
Gosh that’s hard. Block Island, because it holds so many important memories.

What is the most important trait you seek in a romantic partner?
They love you for who you are. Period.

Do you prefer the company of dogs or cats?
Either. Animals are always on the right frequency!

What would have to happen to make today the best day of your life?
For my husband to be right here by my side. He’s traveling at the moment for work.
