New York, NY (December 7, 2020) – Broadway On Demand, the theater-focused streaming platform, is proud to present several special projects this week, including A West End Christmas filmed live from St. Paul’s church to aid Theatre MAD Trust (December 11 – 13); Michael McElroy’s Tony Award-winning Broadway Inspirational Voices’ 2020 holiday concert A Season of Hope and Inspiration (December 13) and #Enough: Plays to End Gun Violence (December 14 – 20).

Broadway Inspirational Voices, the Tony Award-winning choir founded and directed by Michael McElroy, invites audiences to come together to build a foundation of community to take us into the new year with their 2020 holiday concert, A Season of Hope and Inspiration, this Sunday, December 13 beginning at 7:00 PM EST.

In this moment of stasis and necessary separation, Broadway Inspirational Voice’s holiday concert is an opportunity to come together through music with an evening of hope and inspiration. Songs from holidays past will blend alongside new music created especially for this event, with special guest appearances by Debbie Allen, Gavin Creel, Montego Glover, Celia Rose Gooding, Angela Grovey, Marva Hicks, LaChanze, Telly Leung, Lisa Lynne Mathis, Audra McDonald, Michael McElroy, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Karen Olivo, John Eric Parker, Phylicia Rashad, Angela Robinson, Jeanine Tesori, Leslie Uggams, Schele Williams and Vanessa Williams, and performances featuring Shoshana Bean, Crystal Monee Hall, Marcus Paul James, Patti LuPone, Leslie Odom Jr., Billy Porter, Daniel J. Watts, and hundreds of guest artists from Broadway, U.S. National tours, London’s West End, and Australia. A Season of Hope and Inspiration is executive produced by Broadway Virtual.

Join Tom Allen, Samantha Bond, Kerry Ellis, Clive Rowe, Oliver Tompsett, Marisha Wallace, Robin Windsor & Anya Garnis, and many more for A West End Christmas 2020, filmed live from St. Paul’s Church to aid Theatre Mad (Make A Difference Trust), December 11 – 13.

A West End Christmas has been the highlight of the Christmas calendar for the past 17 years, heralding the start of Christmas in a way only the West End can. This year is no exception. Featuring a cast of 80 and a 17 piece orchestra, St . Paul’s Church in London’s Covent Garden was transformed into a world of magic and joy, the Christmas of all our dreams, to film, A West End Christmas 2020 – A Magical Christmas. Put on your sparkles, your reindeer Christmas jumper, switch on the Christmas tree lights and settle down for an evening of festive fun and music. With West End stars from The Phantom of the Opera, Only Fools and Horses, Wicked, Come From Away, &Juliet, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, as well as the West End Kids. Normally, A West End Christmas would raise funds for those living with or affected by HIV and AIDS. This year, the charity has revived and repurposed their hardship fund into the Covid-19 Emergency Fund, to help the theatre community directly, by providing Emergency Hardship Grants for those on stage and off who are struggling financially due to theatre closures and the monies raised will go to the Emergency fund as well as to fund HIV work.

#Enough: Plays to End Gun Violence calls on teens to confront gun violence by creating new works of theatre that will spark critical conversations and incite meaningful action with a mission to promote playwriting as a tool for self expression and social change, harnessing this generation’s spirit of activism and providing a platform for America’s playwrights of tomorrow to discover and develop. Selected by Award-winning playwrights Lauren Gunderson, David Henry Hwang, Tarell Alvin McCraney, Robert Schenkkan, and Karen Zacarías, these seven powerful short plays written and performed by teens nationwide confront gun violence through the lenses of race, police brutality, community violence, school shootings, and American mythology. Co-produced by Alliance Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company, Berkeley Rep, Goodman Theatre, Orlando Repertory Theatre, and South Coast Repertory. #Enough: Plays to End Gun Violence streams on Broadway On Demand November 14 – 20, 2020.
