New York, NY (2/17/12) – Rattlestick Playwrights Theater announced today that its production of Yosemite, a new play written by Daniel Talbott will play four (4) additional performances (through March 3rd). Performances began on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 and the show enjoyed an official opening night on Thursday, January 26th. Originally scheduled to run through Sunday, February 26th, Yosemite will now play through Saturday, March 3rd at Rattlestick Theater (224 Waverly Place – off Seventh Avenue South, between Perry & West 11th Streets).

Yosemite tells the story of three siblings who are sent out into the snow-silent woods in the Sierra Nevada foothills to dig a hole that will be deep enough to bury a family secret. As they dig, they search for a way to escape or be rescued from their lives as the snow continues to fall and the world sinks in around them.

Directed by Pedro Pascal, the cast includes Kathryn Erbe (The Speed of Darkness – Tony nom, “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”), Noah Galvin (The Burnt Part Boys, Ace), Seth Numrich (War Horse, Blind) and Libby Woodbridge (Jerusalem, Gabriel).

The creative team features Raul Abrego (scenic design), Tristan Raines (costume design), Joel Moritz (lighting design) Janie Bullard (sound design) and Andrew Diaz (properties). Michael Denis is Production Stage Manager and Sam Horwith is Assistant Stage Manager.

The performance schedule for the extension is: Wednesday – Friday at 8pm and Saturday at 8pm. There will be no 2pm performance on Saturday, March 3rd. Tickets are $55 and are available through TicketCentral.com/212- 279-4200.

Rattlestick is offering $10 tickets to students (with valid ID) and $15 tickets to patrons under thirty years of age and theater artists.  Information on how to purchase student, under thirty, and theater artist tickets can be found on the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Facebook page.
