Saycon Sengbloh

Saycon Sengbloh

Saycon Sengbloh was just nominated for a Tony Award for her thrilling, emotionally-charged performance as Wife #1 in Danai Gurira’s Eclipsed. Anyone who sees her at the Golden Theater is immediately struck by her ability to capture the undeniable tragedy of the Liberian Civil War with nuance and humanity, but if one takes a look at her CV, it’s really no surprise. Her career has been a panoply of rich and challenging roles, including ones in the Broadway musical productions of Holler If Ya Hear Me, Fela, Motown: The Musical and Aida. In addition to her work on stage, Saycon is a successful recording artist with a new single “Everything”. We are thrilled at the end of this busy week to get Saycon Sengbloh On the Couch!
