Stevie Holland is an internationally acclaimed vocalist, songwriter and recording artist. Her CD “Before Love Has Gone” was chosen by USA TODAY as a Top CD of the year. Ms. Holland has headlined nationally and at New York City concert halls and venues, including Dizzy's Club Coca Cola/Jazz at Lincoln Center and Iridium Jazz Club. Her dynamic performances have led to invitations to perform for the King and Queen of Norway, and have crossed over to the cabaret world, earning her the BACK STAGE Bistro Award for “Outstanding Vocalist of the Year.” Ms. Holland was heard for several years singing the theme song she wrote with Gary William Friedman for Joey Reynolds, the popular Rock n' Roll Hall-of-Famer/ Radio talk show host, on his national WOR Radio program.

My ability to think on my feet (on my back, not so much )

What was your proudest moment?

Well, they say pride cometh before a fall, but a very meaningful moment was when I sang for the King and Queen of Norway, with my Norwegian Mother, Betty, in the audience.

What is your favorite drink?

Dry Martini, Olives.

What is your favorite food?

Kale Salad.

What is your favorite condiment?

Kimchi.

What is your current obsession?

Morphing into Linda Porter.

If you could give up one of your vices, what would it be?

I can't; they've been with me for too long, and I'm too attached to them.

What is the one professional accomplishment you long for most?

To write a novel.

What is the one thing you waste too much money on?

Paper Towels.

What is the one activity you waste too much time doing?

Reading Obituaries.

What do you consider to be the single greatest threat to your health?

Stress.

What is the single best trait you inherited or learned from your parents?

Respect for nature, and love of music.

What is the single worst trait you inherited or learned from your parents?

Talking too much.

What in the world most thrills you?

A toss-up between picnicking atop a mountain with my husband, Gary, or collaborating artistically with him.

What was the single most embarrassing moment you've ever experienced on the job?

I have a self-protect mode that goes off in every devastatingly embarrassing situation, so that I can't answer questions like this.

What is your favorite place in the world?

Home.

What is the most important trait you seek in a romantic partner?

An adventurous spirit.

Do you prefer the company of dogs or cats?

I love 'em both, but Cats rule.

What would have to happen to make today the best day of your life?

Everyone I've loved and lost came back for a visit.
