Of Tammy Blanchard’s many abilities, there is the innate way she reinvigorates classic roles for a new generation of audiences. This is overwhelmingly clear these days, as she plays Cora in the critically-lauded production of Eugene O’Neill’s The Iceman Cometh beside Denzel Washington. Her other stage credits include Gypsy Rose Lee in Gypsy, for which she won a Theatre World Award, and Hedy LaRue in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
