“To Kill A Mockingbird” at MSG
Wednesday was a truly historic day as Broadway’s To Kill A Mockingbird took to the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, to play a very special — free — performance for 18,000 New York City students. The first time ever that the Garden has hosted a production of a play. The performance was introduced by Mayor Bill de Blasio and first lady Chirlane McCray and the one-and-only Spike Lee, who welcomed the cheering students in the way only the king of MSG could.
