Tommy Tune

Nine-time Tony winner Tommy Tune is receiving a Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement this year for his continued contribution to the Broadway community. Really, no one deserves the honor more than this larger-than-life toe tapping legend. A native of Texas, Mr. Tune came to New York and began his career with now classic shows such as The Will Rogers Follies, Grand Hotel and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. His lucrative film career includes roles in Hello, Dolly! and The Boy Friend. Mr. Tune received the National Medal of the Arts in 2003 and recently starred in the critically acclaimed Encores! Production of Lady, Be Good! at City Center. 2015 is Tommy's year, and we are thrilled and honored to have him On the Couch!
