New York, NY (March 11, 2014) – Waterwell, one of the Village Voice’s Best Arguments for Devised Theater and creators of Goodbar and #9, announces the official launching of its film division with the World Premier of the short film, Day Ten, at the 13th Annual Tribeca Film Festival. Day Ten, is written and directed by Arian Moayed and stars Omar Metwally.

New York City fell silent after the loss of its Twin Towers. William wanders the quiet streets, struggling to come to terms with what has happened to his city, as loved ones went missing and people resorted back to prayer.

“When we started Waterwell over a decade ago here in New York City, we always wanted to create a film division that shared the same mission as our theater company. Socially conscious, civic-minded work that hoped to engage, empower and excite our audiences,” said Arian Moayed. “Waterwell Films always felt like the natural next step and I’m beyond thrilled to be premiering Day Ten at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.”
