Every day is opening night.

Yo Adrian! My Poster!

In this photo of the week, a very Broadway-conscious vandal soils posters outside the Winter Garden as Rocky: The Musical prepares for its much anticipated opening. It seems that Cats – Andrew Lloyd-Weber’s hit that ran at the very same theater for eighteen years – is still in the hearts and minds of New Yorkers. It’s comforting, in a way, to know that traces of our favorite shows still sprinkle the Great White Way, as if to remind us that great musicals never truly die. As for Rocky, we doubt it features any jellicle cats, but we’re sure it will be just as magical as Mr. Mistoffelees’ conjuring turn. And we’re expecting eighteen years at least for this one.
